Compass provides consulting and management services to venues in addition to
providing full facility management. These services generally fall into one of
four categories:
- Market Analysis:
Compass executives analyze the market support and potential success for clients
considering the construction of a new facility. Compass can extend this
research to include the development of architectural programs.
- Pre-Opening Management Services:
Compass provides management services to clients during the design and
construction of facilities, working with owners, architects, user groups and
construction contractors in performance of many diverse tasks, including:
- Design Review
- Operational Analysis
- Develop Operating Proforma and User Rates
- Develop Mission Statement and Operating Policies
- Pre-Opening Marketing
- Sales of Signage and Suites
- Develop Organizational Chart and Job Descriptions
- Develop Emergency Plans
- Evaluate and Plan Food and Beverage Systems
- Contract for Ticketing Services
- Marketing Support Projects:
Compass has developed a unique project service in which corporate executives
analyze the market and sales capacities of client facilities and develop new
revenue sources that more than off-set Compass fees. For example, Compass may
analyze the sponsorship potential for a facility and create new sponsorships for
the client. The end result might be new signage, or marquees, or suites for the
facility, which create long-term revenue streams. In some cases, Compass works
with facilities and prime tenants to maximize revenues from ticket sales,
sponsorships, club seats and program book ad sales, scoreboard ads and corporate
partnerships.
- Operations Audits:
Compass provides comprehensive operational analysis of existing facility
operations. Areas explored include:
- Facility mission
- Organizational chart and job descriptions
- Purchase practices
- Maintenance practices
- Personnel administration and training
- Box office operations
- Client experience
- Patron services
